"The cherry blossom typifies clouds and a special meaning for the cycle of life and death in Japan. Representing how fleeting mortality can be there is also a kind of beautiful innocence and simplicity in its short bloom. The word this symbolic flower is most commonly known by in its native country is sakura 桜. There really isn't a more apt name for the young fighter from the Kasugano family called just that."
As a young high school student Sakura Kasugano was an energetic, positive, and passionate girl who would delve into all kinds of hobbies with complete focus and determination. Well, for a while anyway; until something else drew her attention. However, one day she had the opportunity to witness a martial arts tournament involving a young warrior that was making a name for himself defeating everyone he faced. When the match was over, so it was also for the wide-eyed Sakura in another way entirely. "Ryu...H-he. He's amazing!" She had finally found her true passion. Ever since that fight her biggest obsession became finding and training under that man who fought the way he did. This was the dream she'd been looking for, but it wasn't going to be an easy one. Ryu was a hard person to pin down. She'd get a tip and she'd just miss him. Next she would find where he went, but he'd be gone. Headband guy? Nope not him. But none of that really mattered. She would practice till then. After all she'd seen him fight. She learned to imitate his signature moves just by watching and putting them into action. Sure they were a little raw, but her learning retention was astounding. As for Ryu, her future master, she knew she'd find him one day and convince him with her skills. All the while, other fighters began to take note how this seemingly innocent school kid was fighting the way she did without any proper training. This girl was starting to make waves. Another rising ansatsuken practitioner who may one day rival the best of them. Beautiful, innocent, and simply focused, Sakura was now the young fighter who was making a name for herself and she's anything but fleeting.
